Ben Sword’s video is a step-by-step tutorial on creating a Facebook ad to reach journalists, radio stations, bloggers, and all manner of influential people in the music industry

compelling Facebook adThis guest post on creating a Facebook ad is from Ben Sword, head coach at Music Marketing Classroom.

Even though many indie artists are satisfied staying independent, many musicians I meet would like to get noticed by a label. Here’s how to reach every label in the world in UNDER 10 MINUTES. Personally I don’t focus too much on “label obsessed” marketing, so you can use this same trick to reach journalists, radio stations, bloggers, and all manner of influential people who can help push your music forward.

Step 1: Create a Facebook ad with the best song you’ve ever recorded and a contact email address.

Step 2: Use Facebook targeting to show your ad ONLY to people who work at Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group.

That’s it, your ad should be running almost immediately.

So now you can stop asking “How do I reach the right people?” and start asking a better question: “How can my music be even more awesome?”

I’ve even recorded a full video tutorial on this strategy for you:
