Great informative article indeed. Is there anyone you can recommend (NYC) that can write a kick-ass bio for my projects EPK and website? If so, I would appreciate the lead.

There is very much to learn from your kit, i enjoyed reading from this few pages, i am about to finish writting of my first book, a story about the immigrants who made it from abroad through the U.S- Mexico natural border the Rio Grande or Rio Bravo all the way up north to Franklin Avenue, Brooklyn N.Y on American soil. their wins and loses, their dreams and nightmares, their laughters and their sadness. You can also seek out a public relations professional who is well-versed in the music/entertainment industry. Typically a PR pro knows how to write for the media and the general public, incorporating all the points you mentioned. They also should know how to distribute the information and to whom.

Cary Baker is awesome and well worth listening to.
Baker also happens to be a very good writer, who can make a press release sound like a newspaper article.

One thing to keep in mind about having a third party writing stuff is that the other person will think of questions whose answers you take for granted.

Edit: For my own band, I ended up being so consistently dissatisfied with our bio that I deleted everything except a slogan and two press quotes, then put a music player on the page. These days, if someone’s really curious, everything’s online somewhere.
