Great article!

I live way out in the "boonies", between Portland, Or and Seattle, Wa. My studio is in the barn, and there are no neighbors to hear any "leakage".The main room is about 14' x 26' with 12 foot ceilings, and there is plenty of space behind the main room to build a control room and an iso booth. (Materials are here, just haven't done it yet) I also have a cabin on the property where people could stay during a recording project, separate from my house. Besides "Studio A", which I just described, we also have a smaller studio (studio B) in the same building, aprox 10' x 16' with 7' ceilings. There is also room in this barn to expand or add other rooms as needed.... the barn is 70'by 70' and 3+ stories high.
I guess my question is this.....I built this studio as a "project" studio....meaning mostly for my own use. I'm not going to bore you with a long list of gear, but it is all mid to high end good stuff....( The gear I have for recording and Mastering has done OK.................over 3'000 CD's sold from the stage, and a fair amount of radio play. Check out "Son of a Seamans Daughter) I'm just curious about opinions......... Should I bite the bullet and open my studio to should open my studio the public?

I look forward to more information. Thanks for taking the time to share. We are building a new studio. We have an editing suite and next door will be the sound room. The control room is the editing suite. A window separates the two rooms. It sounds like we should do some sort of sound control to both rooms?... Anyway I will keep reading and learning. Thanks
